2004….. a year that has brought us the worst disaster in modern times. Yes, we have seen how the power of nature can destroy thousands of lives in a single sweep. Yet, we have also seen how this disaster can bring together different nations and people from all walks of life to bond together and help rebuild broken lives.
2005 …. another year, another opportunity to build quality in our world. But what is our world? Where is our world? Our circle of influence…?
Our world is where we move… where we leave our stamp, our footprints, our signature of being. We may be the richest company, a small enterprise, a career worker, a student … all of us may be struggling to find meaning and sense in what is happening in our own world. What is essential is to find our mark, our voice -- and eventually inspire others to find their voices, too.
Our world…. is where we can build quality to improve the lives of others and create the future.
Let's build quality in our world. At some point in our lives, we encounter our defining moment. Carpe diem…let us seize it and not let go. Let this moment give us that opportunity to create symphony in our world, to unleash the power of quality in our lives.
How do we start building quality in our world? Even as we are rooted in our present, we must dare to define our future. Let us pause and create the imagery we want to someday transform into reality.
As the song goes, "Come with me and we will be in a world of pure imagination. Look around and you will see into your imagination. We will begin with a spin, traveling in the world of my creation. What we see will defy explanation…. if you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it."

The Philippine Society for Quality aims to contribute help organizations improve through its programs handled by the different committees.
As a society, let us translate our visions to reality. Let us light tomorrow with today. Together, let us make things happen in PSQ. Let us help organizations, both in the private and public sectors, move closer towards performance excellence.
